The Illusion of Choice and Nestle drains the water out from right under our noses!

The Illusion of Choice

Be aware of the reality of the brands you choose to buy. Most people do not realize when they are making decisions about what brand to buy that they are often choosing from the same company.

Big corporations have a monopoly on most things but because they have multiple company names, people have no idea and these huge corporations certainly do not advertise the fact that they have taken over so much or that they have a monopoly and thus, control the market.

The below chart demonstrates this partially – I say partially because Nestlé owns A LOT more than what is displayed below, but at least it gives you the general idea of the illusion of choice when you’re shopping:

Nestlé is the largest food company in the world and thus the largest buyer of GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms). Take a moment to let that sink in.

They also own part of big pharmaceutical companies like Novartis and Pfizer, as well as an eye care company, Alcon that makes ocular surgery equipment. Think about that.

Why would the biggest food company in the world want own big pharmaceutical companies and eye care companies?

***Look at Monsanto and how they have taken biotechnology and applied it to food.***

They also own a large part of cosmetic companies Loreal, Lancome, Biotherm, Galderma, Innéov, and the list goes on and on.

Nestlé has subsidiaries in Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka and Turkey. The company also has subsidaries in South Africa which it owned during the Apartheid year. L’Oréal adds Peru and Morocco to the list.

Nestlé own nearly 50% of the cosmetics company L’Oreal.  L’Oreal was subject to boycott calls from animal rights groups including PETA because of its animal testing policy. Since then L’Oreal has claimed that it no longer tests finished products on animals. This statement is obviously intended to mislead since finished products do not require further testing and it implies that the ingredients are certainly still subject to tests. Some groups called off the boycott in response to L’Oreal’s claims, however there are individuals and organisations who continue the boycott as L’Oreal continues to test on animals.

Nestlé itself manufactures many products containing meat and has been critized by BUAV for testing its coffee’s carcinogenicity on mice. [Liberator, Summer 1991]

They also used crushed cochineal beetles to make their red smarties red. They very recently told  me that this is no longer their practice – I don’t know if that is true. How many years have you been eating smarties? Since a child = yummy…

They also own more natural water springs than any other company – I bet less than 5% of people even realize Nestlé has amassed that many natural water springs, and all over the world too and that they push for water to be a commodity and no longer a human right.

They have been known to drain the water table in cities and towns all over the world and no one knows what they are doing until it is too late. Here’s an example and a petition for Pakistan:

nestle water commodity

You can watch their CEO say so here:

His smug arrogance really is disgusting. Water is a human right. Water is sacred.

Nestle has won a permit to drain Ontario’s aquifer to drain 1.1 million litres of water per day from Hillsburgh, Ontario until 2017 – please sign the petition:

“Under its current permit, Nestlé pays $3.71 for every million litres of water it pumps from the local watershed, which it then packages in single-use plastic bottles and sells back to the public for as much as $2 million,” the Canada Council says. They were looking to drain Ontario water even during times of drought: and

How corps drain our aquifers for profit:

They’re doing it in Florida:

Another great article:

This petition is closed but it is still worth the read:

And another site talking about this:

And there are many more such sites and articles – this is just a few to raise awareness.

Do you understand what this means?

You control the food; you control the people. You control the water; you control the people. It’s only a matter of time.

Please Consider Signing the Petition to Stop Nestle Trying to Patent Natural medicine, Nigella sativa!

Don’t allow them to make nature a commodity too!
